Ski Marathon is usually held on a first Sunday in April in Murmansk and is part of the traditional Festival of the North (Prazdnik Severa). Two distances: 25 and 50 km. Euro Loppet.
Good cross-country ski tracks (also lighted), also called loipen for classic cross-country skiing and for freestyle cross-country skiing (skating) can be found in the cities of Kirovsk, Monchegorsk and Murmansk. For example, you can stay in a hotel and train daily on these prepared cross-country ski trails . You can bring your own cross-country skiing equipment or you can rent cross-country skiing equipment here. If you have never cross-country skied before, our guide can teach you the intricacies of cross-country skiing.
Try a cross-country skiing adventure above the Arctic Circle in Russian Lapland! A guide will pick you up from the hotel and brings you to a suitable cross-country skiing trail. Together you ski in the surroundings of Monchegorsk close to Khibiny Mountain Tundra, along iced lakes and through virgin forests sleeping under snow blanket.
Our specialty is a guided multi-day cross-country skiing adventure on groomed trails with luggage transport. This cross-country trail (140 km) goes through the pristine nature of the Kola Peninsula in Khibiny Tundra; the highest tundra in all of Lapland (1200 m). The daily distances are between 20 and 40 km. Experience in cross-country skiing is necessary. The nights you stay in a hotel, a lodge, a small cosy mountain hotel and a sanatorium/hotel complex.
