Winter op het Kola Schiereiland
The winter start in October en ends in de beginning van May. The Kola Schiereiland is like a fairytale, everything is covered by sneeuw. The temperatures
can go far under zero degrees van Celsius level, but it doesn't feel cold, because van het low humidity en lack van wind. It is also a good reason naar visit the Kola Schiereiland in winter.
Pool nacht
Because Kola Schiereiland lays boven the Pool Circle we have van de end van November naar de middle van January
no sunshine anymore. This is called: the Pool nacht. That doesn't mean that tijdens the dag it is nacht here, but the sky is coloured
like twilight van blue, purple, violet naar red. The sneeuw covered land takes over the colours van het sky. This wonderful view takes van 4 naar 6 hours per day.
We like the Pool nacht in our winter very much, because it makes everything cozy en romantic.
Noorderlicht (Aurora Borealis)
Another natural phenomenon what you can often see in our winter boven the Poolcirkel are the touching Noorderlicht (Aurora Borealis).
A free spectacular laser show tijdens the winter nacht, you even don't dare
to sleep voor watching it. The Noorderlicht can be only seen at the dark winter nacht, it means van September until beginning the beginning van April.
