wandeltocht in Monche toendra en Khibiny toendra
|
Two nice wandeltochten op het Kola Schiereiland combined
in one vakantie! Hike four days door the Monche toendra
en six days door the Khibiny toendra. Monche toendra is
part close naar de Laplandsky Nature Reserve met virgin pine
forests en spruce forests which age is 400-500 years
old. Watch rare birds like the 'gyrfalcon' having its
territory in de fells.
Hike door the Khibiny toendra en enjoy the magnificent
views over the highest bergen en the langste blue
lakes van het Kola Schiereiland.
During the wandeltochten you will overnacht in tents.
Before, between en after the wandeltochten you will
travel in time tijdens excursies in Moermansk en
Monchegorsk en where you will spend the nachts in
hotels.

wandeltocht dag by day: |
Day 1, Saturday:
Arrive in Moermansk. ontmoet up at airport by a drivier van de hotel .
Transfer naar hotel. Check-in. Overnacht at the hotel.
Day 2, Sunday: Breakfast at the hotel. gegidste stadstoer including
a harbour, the 'Alyosha' memorial en
Historical Museum. Lunch. Transfer naar Monchegorsk; check-in at a hotel. Guide
will come naar de hotel in de evening naar ontmoet you en check equipment.
Dinner in a restaurant van het hotel. Overnacht at the hotel.
Day 3, Monday: Breakfast at the hotel. Travel by motor-boat down Imandra
Lake naar Nifeliny Peski Station (10 km). van there hike op de forest
path as far as Aku-Aku Ravine, en make camp. Explore Aku-Aku Ravine.
The Ravine’s entrance is gegidste by tall pine-trees en the walls look
like an old broken castle. There is a picturesque lake among the cliffs,
en numerous streams - one met a small waterfall, en lonely standing
rocks like trolls turned into stones. We climb the west slope en watch
the wonderful view van het Imandra Lake en the faraway toendra behind it.

Day 4, Tuesday: Follow the Ravine Aku-Aku up naar de Yumyekorr Pass, a
narrow pass squeezed between two rock cliffs. Yumyekorr means “Ravine van
Dead Men”. According naar legend the Saami battled Swedes here at the end
van het 16th century. Hike down naar de Meridian Stream door a grove van
Noorder birches up naar de Chasnaiok rivier ("The Woodpecker’s rivier").
Camp. Distance van hike: 10 km.
Day 5, Wednesday: Follow the path along the Chasnaiok rivier naar de South
Chorgorr Pass. We can watch the steep slopes van het Lidichwumchorr
bergen op which there are fantastic rock outcrops. The South Chorgorr
Pass is smooth wide lowering van het crest ( 820 m). At lower elevations
there is a stunning rock cirkel met a jewel-like lake. Proceed down
door the pass naar de Petrelius rivier en make camp.
Distance van hike: 14 km.
Day 6, Thursday: This dag is voor rest. Leave heavy things at the camp
en hike naar de Noorder Rischorr Pass located in de east part van
Khibiny toendra or we can look voor some samples van rare mineralen not far
van de camp or just stay in de camp en walk in forest in
neighbourhood. Distance van hike depends op uw choice: 5 naar 12 km.
Day 7, Friday: Walk naar de Zapadnyi Petrelius Pass door a stone
cirkel met a lake en ascend naar de top van het pass. Proceed down naar
the valley van het Malaya Belaya rivier en naar a stone cirkel met "moon"
craters op its bottom. Follow the Malaya Belaya rivier up naar de Ramzai
Ravine en make camp. Distance van hike: 14 km.
Day 8, Saturday: Walk up op de path naar de Ramzai Ravine, a narrow pass
squeezed between two rock cliffs. sneeuw can be kept in de ravine up naar
the herfst. Proceed down along the Pochaiok rivier ("The rendier’s
rivier") naar de Malyi Vudyavr Lake where our bus is waiting. Distance van
hike: 10 km. Drive naar Monchegorsk. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnacht at
the hotel.
Day 9, Sunday: Breakfast at the hotel. dag van rest in
Monchegorsk. Dinner op
uw own in any cosy small restaurant. Overnacht
at the hotel.
Day 10, Monday: Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer naar start point
in berg. van there hike naar de pass door the mass-berg van
the Monche toendra ridge. van a top van het pass proceed down op a path
naar de west slopes van Monche toendra en the Vite rivier’s valley en make
camp. Distance van hike: 8 km.
Day 11, Tuesday: Hike along the west bank van het Seidjavr Lake door
the virgin pine en spruce forests which age is 400-500 years old. If we
are lucky we can see elks, bears, fox or rendieren. It’s possible naar
vis in de rivieren. Cross the Vite rivier en proceed naar de Seidjavr
Lake. Make camp. Distance van hike: 4 km.
Day 12, Wednesday: Leave rugzaks in camp en walk light naar de Pingkyauranch Lake. The nature there is like Japan banzai gardens where
berg en forest landscape are shown in miniature. There are really
special trees op a bank van het lake whose water has unusual light-green
colour. Proceed the beautiful rivier delta. Distance van hike: 15 km.
Day 13, Thursday: Hike naar de valley Lemkorr en climb up naar de
second high peak op het Kola Schiereiland - 1114 boven the sea level. van
the very top a breathtaking view opens naar blue forests met pearls van
lakes en shining fillets van rivieren: all fairy-tale Lapland is op uw
palm! Distance van hike: 12 km.
Day 14, Friday: Cross the Vite rivier en proceed up naar de berg
ridge van Monche toendra. Stop naar look round the waterfall Devichyi Kosi
(Girl’s plaits). Continue the route naar de beginning van a tectonic
cleft, where sneeuw is kept until the end van zomer, en walk down naar de
foot van Monche toendra. van there transfer naar Moermansk.
Overnacht at the hotel.
Day 15, Saturday: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure. Transfer naar Moermansk
airport by a hotel car. |
