Enjoy the Moermansk stadstoer met visit naar de historical museum. You become acquainted met the history, the flora en fauna van our regio. "From C2C op de Barents Road"

The "Barents Road" is more than just a road. It starts in Bødø (Norway), follows the arctische Circle naar de east until Kandalaksha in Rusland where you will ontmoet the first C; the Witte Zee. Then the road goes Noordwards naar de second C; the Barents Sea.

This 6-daagse bus excursie round trip starts in Rovaniemi Finland, goes via many steden op het Kola Schiereiland including Moermansk and finally end up back in Finland in Ivalo. It passes various cultuurs en culinary traditions, berg landscapes, taiga en toendra.

Apatity – the main scientific en university centrum van het Rusland Noord.

Kirovsk located in de Vudjavr Lake valley among the Khibiny bergen. A mining town en downhill ski centrum.

Day 1: At 08.00 start van Rovaniemi. Lunch op halfway in Alakurtti. Arrive in Kirovsk; hotel check-in. In evening a Rusland restaurant awaits met drinks, a good meal en fine music. Overnacht at the hotel.

Day 2: Visits naar de Polar-alpine Botanische tuin, the world’s Noordermost one, the Historical Museum en the House van het Pioneers van het noorden; a preserved home van het Kola Schiereiland’s first geologen. Hike up the adjacent berg naar an alpine omgeving; picnic lunch. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnacht at the hotel.

Day 3: Travel naar Monchegorsk. We visit the kerk van God’s Ascension, the langste Orthodox kathedraal van het Kola Schiereiland; the walls were painted by famous icon-painters van Moskou.

Travel naar de Saami dorp van Lovozero. Visit the Saami Museum en a Saami dance performance. Traditional Saami dinner beside a campfire in a Saami dwelling.

Proceed naar Moermansk en check-in at a hotel.

Day 4: excursie door Moermansk. Visit the Unknown Soldier memorial op de stad’s highest point. Visits naar de Art en Historical musea, en Folk Art Center. The late afternoon can be spent shopping en exploring the stad op one’s own.
