Snowmobile safari in Khibiny Mountains program description:

Tour program:
Day 1, Saturday: Meeting by a guide at the Apatity railway station. Breakfast in a café. Transfer by minibus to a start point of the tour. Or you come to the complex of Snow village near Kirovsk city at 10.00. After changing clothes, snowmobiling lesson and test driving we start the tour. We go from the Polar Botanical garden via Ramzay mountain pass to the Valley of Malaya Belaya river. At 13:00 arrival to a place of a rescue centre where the mountain hotel is located. Check-in. Lunch. After lunch we continue snowmobiling to the Valley of Petrelius river. Coming back tj the hotel around 18:30. Sauna. Dinner. Overnight.
Distance: 60 km along mountain gaps and passes.

Day 2, Sunday: Breakfast at 08.00. After breakfast, at 9.30 we start to drive the route: Kuelporr – North-East of Khibiny – Neujavr lake – valley of Maivaltaiok river – Umbozero lake – Kuelporr. Wilderness lunch (packed meal). Come back to the hotel around 18:00. Dinner. Overnight.
Distance: 90 km along mountain gaps and passes, frozen lakes.

Day 3, Monday: Breakfast at 08.30. After breakfast we do a round trip via virgin landscapes of the central part of Khibiny: Kuelporr - Academicheskoe lake – valley of Tuliok river – valley of Kaskasnuniok river – Kuelporr. Wilderness lunch (packed meal). Come back to the hotel around 16:00. Then we drive to the beginning of the tour to the Snow village. Changing clothes. Transfer to Kirovsk. Dinner in a restaurant at 19.00. After the dinner transfer to the Apatity railway station (in necessary).
Distance: 90 km along mountain gaps and passes, frozen lakes.

Notes. The tour program can be changed depend on the weather condition.

• 2 nights in a double room in a small mountain hotel

Level:

Experience in driving snowmobile is not necessary.

Price includes:

• Snowmobile rental including special clothes and shoes
• accommodation
• sauna on Day 1
• three meals per day within the tour, encl. a farewell dinner at Day 3
• transfer from/to Apatity railway station to/from a start point of the tour
• Accident medical Insurance (including helicopter evacuation in emergency case)

Additional:

• The travel to Rovaniemi and from Ivalo in Finland. For groups it is also possible to arrive in
   Murmansk or Kandalaksha in Russia or in Kuusamo or Ivalo in Finland.
• If necessary the stay in Ivalo or Helsinki depending on flight schedule.
   We can include this in the package.

Documents:

• Passport must be valid at least 6 months after date of return. A visa is required. We handle the tourist invitation.

Insurance:

• The participant must possess medical insurance that at very least covers the European part of the Russian Federation.
