Day 1, Friday, the 19th of February: Arrival in Kandalaksha and
check-in in hotel. In the evening you can drive to the old quarter of
Kandalaksha to view old Pomor houses and have a nice view over the Kanda Bay.

Frozen White Sea
Day 2, Saturday, the 20th of February: Breakfast. Meet the guide and
briefing. Drive to Varzuga with visit to Pomor Village Kashkarantsy on the shore
of Frozen White Sea. On our way we will try to take snowed road to ancient
village Kuzomen. Lunch on the way. Dinner, sauna and overnight in cottage in
more-person rooms in Varzuga. Asphalt: 130 km, Icy road: 100 km, Off-road: 10

Day 3, Sunday, the 21st of February: Breakfast. Drive via Kirovsk to
Oktyabrsky; a small village in the Forest on the foot of Khibiny and Lovozero
Mountains. Sauna, dinner and overnight in a simple wilderness lodge
“Yolki-Palki” in twin rooms. Asphalt: 250 km, Icy road: 100 km, Off-road: 10 km.

Off-road safari to heart of Kola wilderness
Day 4, Monday, the 22nd of February: After breakfast a two day
off-road adventure starts. We will try to reach a Lappish village named Inga by
4x4. The road is covered by snow and nobody knows the condition of this winter
road and how long it will take. Wilderness lunch. Dinner and overnight in a
Lappish Turf house and sleep on reindeer fur around the fire. Asphalt 0 km, Icy
road: 0 km, Off-road: 50 km. (B,L,D)
Day 5, Tuesday, the 23rd of February: Breakfast. Drive back to Oktyabrsky
via more or less the same track. Campfire lunch during the day. Dinner, sauna
and overnight in “Yolki-Palki”. Asphalt: 0 km, Icy road: 0 km, Off-road: 50 km.

Snowmobile safari
Day 6, Wednesday, the 24th of February: After breakfast and
some instructions how to drive a snowmobile we are going to make a snowmobile
tour in the beautiful surroundings of Oktyabrsky. Field lunch. Dinner, sauna and
overnight in “Yolki-Palki”.
Asphalt: 0 km, Icy road: 0 km, Off-road: 100 km. (B,L,D)
Alternative program: If day 4 was not successful with our 4x4’s, then we will
go back to Oktyabrsky and spend the night in the lumberjack house. On day 5 we
will drive to the Saami Sot house by snowmobile, have lunch around the fire and
drive back to the lumberjack house. On day 6 we will have an excursion in the
cities Kirovsk and Apatity to learn more about the pioneers of the North with
visits to the historical museum and the geological museum.
Crossing the 69th Parallel
Day 7, Thursday, the 25th of February:
After breakfast drive on your own to Worlds biggest city above the Polar Circle
Murmansk. Check-in at the hotel in the centre. Lunch and dinner on your own in
recommended café’s. Route description will be provided. Asphalt: 220 km, Icy
road: 35 km, Off-road: 0 km. (B)
Day 8, Friday, the 26th of February: Departure Murmansk to continue your
own route to Ivalo in Finland (asphalt: 200 km, Icy road: 100 km) or to Kirkenes
in Norway (asphalt: 250 km). (B)
Optional: Museums like the Historical Museum, Atomic Icebreaker and the Northern
Fleet Museum.

Documents |
Passport must be valid at least 3 months after date of return. A visa is required. We handle the tourist invitation. |
Insurance: |
The participant must possess medical insurance that at very least covers the European part of the Russian Federation.
As an extra we insure all our participants for rescuing. |
