15 days Mineralogical expedition
in Khibiny Mountains on
the Kola Peninsula

Take the opportunity to take part in an enthralling
mineralogical holiday, an expedition for geologists, semi
geologists, hobbyists or hunters for rare stones and
minerals into the Khibiny Mountains. You will spend
11
days in the mountains in 3 mineralogical sessions. During
the sessions you will spend the night in tents. Our
experienced guide will show you the nice
places, cook and take care for you. The nights between
these sessions of your mineralogical holiday you will
spend in the lumberjack guesthouse Yolki-Palki located at
the food of Khibiny.
Within the days of rest we will visit three mineralogical museums
full of the rarest and uncommon minerals and listen to
fascinating stories of their discovering and finding. You
can have a look at the most skilful articles (things and
adornments) made of rare, rarest, semi-precious and
precious stones in a very specialized shop.

Proposed programme Mineralogical expedition: |
Day 1. Arrival in a lumberjack guesthouse Yolki-Palki located on foot of Khibiny Mountains. Check-in at a
twin rooms. Dinner, sauna, overnight.
Day 2. After breakfast drive by four-wheel-drive car to Khibiny Mountains. Walk 5 km more to the place. Make camp not far from the Ramzai valley. Spend the rest of the day in mountains searching minerals as Tinguaite, Evdialite and others. Overnight in tents.
Day 3. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. Overnight in tents.
Day 4. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. In late
afternoon we go back to the guesthouse. Dinner, sauna, overnight.
Day 5. Day of rest in the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, dinner,
sauna.
Optional: Excursion in cities Kirovsk and Apatity
incl. a visit to mineralogical museums. Lunch in a
restaurant.
Day 6. After breakfast drive by four-wheel-drive car to the Kukisvumchorr Pass in Khibiny Mountains. Walk 1 km more to the place. Make camp. Spend the rest of the day in mountains searching minerals as Egiryn, Albit, Zircon and others. Overnight in tents.
Day 7. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. Overnight in tents.
Day 8. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. In second half of the day we go back to the Kukisvumchorr Pass, where our car waits for us. Back to the guesthouse.
Dinner, sauna, overnight.
Day 9. Day of rest in the guesthouse. Breakfast, lunch, dinner,
sauna.
Optional: Excursion in the Polar Botanical Garden.
Lunch in a restaurant.
Day 10. After breakfast drive by four-wheel-drive car to the Yukchorr Pass in Khibiny Mountains. Walk 7 km more to the place. Make camp at mountain mass Eveslogchorr. Spend the rest of the day in mountains searching minerals as Astrophilite, Evdialite and others. Overnight in tents.
Day 11. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals as Astrophilite, Evdialite and others. Overnight in tents.
Day 12. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. Overnight in tents.
Day 13. Spend the day in mountains searching minerals. Overnight in tents.
Day 14. In morning we go back to the Yukchorr Pass, where our car waits for us. Back to the guesthouse.
Dinner, sauna, overnight.
Day 15. After breakfast - departure.
