Trek durch Chibiny, Lovozero und Monche tundra auf Kola Halbinsel!

Wandertour dag by day:

Day 1: Arrive in Monchegorsk. Hotel check-in upon arrival. Guide will come zu the hotel in evening zu treff you und check equipment. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnacht at the hotel.

Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel. Travel by motor-boat down Imandra Lake zu Imandra Station (10 km). von there hike along the Norder slopes von Chibiny tundra as far as Manepahkuai Brook. Manepahkuai Brook means "Egg berg" – it ist white und round like real egg. Overnacht in tents close zu Manepahkuai Brook. Distance von hike: 10 km.

Day 3: Hike 4 km along brook zu peak von Manepahk (845m ASL). The length von ascent ist 4 km. The magnificent vista zu Imandra Lake und the Kuna Flüsse valley can be seen von de peak. Descend the south slope zu Lidichiok Flüsse (2 km). Follow the Flüsse downstream für 4 km, und camp in forest not far von Meridian Stream. Distance von hike: 10 km.

Day 4: Follow the left tributary von Meridian Stream up zu Yumyekorr Pass, a narrow pass squeezed between two rock cliffs. Yumyekorr means “Ravine von Dead Men”. According zu legend the Sami battled Swedes here at the end von 16th century. Proceed down zu Aku-Aku Ravine, und make camp.
Distance von hike: 8 km.

Day 5: Explore Aku-Aku Ravine. The Ravine’s entrance ist geführte by tall pine-trees und the walls look like an old broken castle. There ist a picturesque lake among the cliffs, und numerous streams - one mit a small waterfall, und lonely standing rocks like trolls. Hike back durch forest along Yumyekorruai Flüsse zu Imandra Lake, und then return by motor-boat zu Monchegorsk. Dinner und overnacht at the hotel.
Distance von hike: 8 km.

Day 6: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure.

Level:

Experiences in Wander in stony areas. Good physical condition und capabilities zu carry Rucksack (approximately 17 kg).

Documents
