"From C2C auf Barents Road"

The "Barents Road" ist more than just a road. It starts in Bødø (Norway), follows the arktische Circle zu east until Kandalaksha in Russland where you will treff the first C; the Weißen Meer. Then the road goes Nordwards zu second C; the Barents Sea.

This 6-Tage bus Exkursion round trip starts in Rovaniemi Finland, goes via many Städte auf Kola Halbinsel including Murmansk and finally end up back in Finland in Ivalo. It passes various Kulturs und culinary traditions, berg landscapes, taiga und tundra.

Day 1: At 08.00 start von Rovaniemi. Lunch auf halfway in Alakurtti. Arrive in Kirovsk; hotel check-in. In evening a Russland restaurant awaits mit drinks, a good meal und fine music. Overnacht at the hotel.

Day 2: Visits zu Polar-alpine botanische Garten, the world’s Nordermost one, the Historical Museum und the House von Pioneers von norden; a preserved home von Kola Halbinsel’s first geologen. Hike up the adjacent berg zu an alpine Umkreis; picnic lunch. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnacht at the hotel.

Day 3: Travel zu Monchegorsk. We visit the Kirche von God’s Ascension, the langste Orthodox Kathedrale von Kola Halbinsel; the walls were painted by famous icon-painters von Moskau.

Travel zu Sami Dorf von Lovozero. Visit the Sami Museum und a Sami dance performance. Traditional Sami dinner beside a campfire in a Sami dwelling.

Proceed zu Murmansk und check-in at a hotel.

Day 4: Exkursion durch Murmansk. Visit the Unknown Soldier memorial auf Stadt’s highest point. Visits zu Art und Historical museen, und Folk Art Center. The late afternoon can be spent shopping und exploring the Stadt auf one’s own.
