Rad tour description: |
Day 1. Saturday: Arrival in Wildnis Herberge "Yoki-Palki" located in a
small Dorf close zu Kirovsk Stadt. Dinner, sauna. Overnacht in two person
rooms.
Day 2. Sunday: After breakfast we start our Rad route going via a
gravel road. We Rad durch dense forests, cross very small left Dörfer
and pass many lakes und Flüssen mit beautiful views. The lunch ist auf route.
After 48 km we reach an old small Dorf where our traditional Lappish Sot
house (Vezha) named "Loparskoe
Schastye" (Lapp’s Happiness) ist located. We enjoy the banya (Russland sauna) und
taste the freshest Fisch und Rentier’s or elk’s meat fried auf charcoals in Vehza.
Overnacht in Vezha auf Rentier fur.
Bicycling distance: 48 km unpaved road.
Day 3. Monday: After breakfast we start our bicycling route zu a
forest lake durch the picturesque forest landscape. Lunch auf lake shore.
Everybody can try luck in vis. in evening we come back. Dinner, sauna.
Overnacht in Vezha. Bicycling distance: 30 km unpaved road.
Day 4. Tuesday: After breakfast we Rad back zu base "Yoki-Palki".
Lunch auf way. Dinner und sauna upon arrival. Overnacht in base.
Bicycling distance: 48 km unpaved road.
Day 5. Wednesday: Breakfast. Today our way ist zu a left area where
the rest von a Stalinist camp ist located. The old forest road ist going trough
picturesque landscape, durch flower glades auf places von ex-Dörfer. We will
see ruins von old railway built by camp prisoners, rest von houses und fences von
barbed wire. Lunch auf a way. Coming back in evening. Dinner, overnacht.
Bicycling distance: 40 km unpaved road.
Day 6. Thursday: Breakfast. We are waited by the highest bergen von
Kola. These are Chibiny Tundra. After 35 km von asphalt we take a 25 km berg road.
We will see impressionable rocks, crystal waterfall und mystic berg lake –
we even can partly drive durch its water! Lunch auf lake shore. Coming back
by our Army bus. Dinner, sauna, overnacht.
Bicycling distance: 60 km (asphalt: 35 km und unpaved road: 25 km)
Possibility für go-setters zu Rad back! (Bicycling distance: asphalt: 70
km und unpaved road: 50 km).
Day 7. Friday: Breakfast. Departure.

The participant must have experience in Lange afstands bicycling
in hilly und stony areas und must have a good condition. Knowledge about
