Climate and weather on Kola Peninsula

 

The most part of the Kola Peninsula lies north of the Polar Circle.
An average temperature for January varies between minus 8 and 13 degrees and for July between plus 12 and 20 degrees Centigrade.

 

Polar night on Kola Peninsula:
From the 1st of December and till the end of January there is the so called "polar night" here. The Sun hides behind the horizon day and night - electric bulbs are shining instead of the Sun.

 

Polar day on Kola Peninsula:
The so called "polar day" is from the 23rd of May till the end of July when the Sun forgets to set for a while. It is midnight on the clock but the nature is lighted by bright sunshine.
